VOICE 200

Selected Ion Flow Tube Mass Spectrometry on PPT levels

Analyze volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in real time. Voice 200® instruments apply Selected Ion Flow Tube Mass Spectrometry (SIFT-MS), which allows analysis of multiple chemically diverse VOCs is a single scan. Analysis identifies compounds present and their concentrations.

Voice 200 instruments include a touch-screen interface and networking capability, making them very easy to operate and support. They are ideally suited to rapid analysis of gaseous samples (for example, whole-air, headspace above solids and liquids, and breath).

Key benefits

  • Real-time analysis without sample preparation or solvents maximizes throughput and minimizes operational costs.
  • High-sensitivity part per trillion by volume (pptv) analysis profiles the most elusive compounds.
  • Each analysis simultaneously profiles multiple chemically diverse compounds
  • Analyze polar compounds not traditionally suited to analysis with chromatographic techniques.
  • Intuitive software and familiar graphical user interface minimize training costs and allow easy instrument and analysis set up, even for non-technical staff.
  • Compatibility with standard computer network protocols allows remote operation and support, maximizing operational flexibility and minimizing downtime.
  • Automated calibration and validation procedures ensure reliable analysis.
  • Options for vehicle mounting mean you can take the analysis to the sample.
  • Support from our global network of distributors and service agents minimizes downtime.

Typical applications

  • Monitoring of air quality in and around industrial facilities.
  • Monitoring of production processes for quality control.
  • Testing of vehicle emissions.
  • Monitoring of landfill gas for contaminants.

Typical compounds measured

Primary compounds analyzed are volatile organic compound (VOCs), including:

  • Aldehydes, ketones, alcohols
  • Alkanes, alkenes and aromatic hydrocarbons
  • Formaldehyde
  • Ammonia and amines
  • Siloxanes and silanes
  • Sulfur compounds, including H2S, thiols and sulfides.

The application of multiple reagent ions allows separation of many isobarics, such as aldehydes and ketones.
